The Firefly Story

Firefly Studio is a small, woman-owned business located in the mountains of western North Carolina.

Owner Nancy King started sewing her own line of fleece clothing and outerwear while living in Alaska. Eventually this led to designing and creating mountaineering and ski clothing, as well as dog sledding gear.

After relocating to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, Nancy decided to focus on contract work to help others launch their own product lines. From her passion for sewing and a glowing entrepreneurial spirit, Firefly Studio was born.

When not working in the studio, Nancy enjoys gardening, creating glass art, and spending time with husband Jay and their dogs Finn and Poncho.
